CCHF Members Participate in STEM Symposium at Emory

Emory University Laney Graduate School have convened and organized their second annual STEM Research and Career Symposium, with the event taking place on March 25-27th 2014.

Dr. Cora MacBeth, a CCHF research PI, was one of the co-organizers, helping to bring faculty advisors and their student from diverse background to the Emory campus for two days of shared research presentations and for networking, mentoring and recruitment.

The CCHF was well represented with Felicia Fullilove, Omar Villanueva and Monya Ruffin on hand to explain the virtues of the Center model for graduate research, presenting posters and discussing these ideas over lunch.

Prof. Simon Blakey spoke to many of the participants about the graduate experience at Emory University and acted as Poster Competition Judge.
