In the summer of 2014 Michael Wade Wolfe, an undergraduate at Emory University who worked in the Davies Lab, Atlanta, USA, part of the CCHF, travelled to spend the summer working in the Itami Lab at Nagoya University, Japan, part of the ITbM.

Michael’s work focused on the application of C–H functionalization chemistry developed in the Davies to the synthesis of novel plant growth hormone inhibitors.
