Michael Rowan, Ph. D.; Editor-In-Chief of ChemCatChem came to visit Atlanta to tell the CCHF and CCE students about being an editor of a scientific journal.

Michael gave an overview of the roles and responsibilities of this job, how he was able to work at Wiley and secure this position.

Dr Rowan also gave those listening some hints and tips for the best way to negociate the publication process, what editors are looking for in manuscripts, where the common pitfalls are in manuscript preparation and submission and how being effective and responsive to editors requests can simplify the process.
