CCI Presidential Symposium at 250th ACS Meeting in Boston 2015

08/2015

Members of the CCHF joined members from our sister Centers in the CCI program to deliver a Presidential symposium at the 250th ACS National meeting in Boston on Sunday August 16th.

Introduced by ACS president Diane Grob Schmidt, the symposium comprised of presentations from each of the eight Centers, highlighting the advances made by this collaborative approach to scientific innovation. Each Center director spoke for 30 minutes, and though the science discussed was broad in scope the room was packed for the entire session.

The symposium culminated in a poster reception, providing the opportunity for student and other members of the Centers to present their science. With each Center bringing five posters to the meeting we had over forty posters covering a fantastic range of interdisciplinary collaborative science. The poster session was packed for over three hours, a great reception for CCI science and ideas!
