Jillian Spangler completed her PhD under the supervison of Prof. Erik Soresen at Princeton University in 2012. Jillian then undertook a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Davies Group at Emory University.

In 2013 Jillian moved to the west coast and carried out a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Yu group at the The Scripps Research Institute.

In 2014 Jillian moved to work at Pfizer in San Diego.
