This months Spelman Grad Prep Club meeting revolved around learning more about the type of research that is done in chemistry graduate school. Prof. Huw Davies, Director of the CCHF, was the guest speaker, delivering two case-studies on the application of acadmic research to real world problems.

Students within the club were given the opportunity to ask questions of Prof. Davies and learn a bit more about the type of science done at Emory and the atmosphere of the graduate experience.

Felicia and Nina then delivered a presentation introducing the students to scientific journal articles and the factors you should bear in mind and consider when reading and reviewing them.
