The Chemistry Summer Undergraduate Research Program (CSURP), has been developed by the CCHF to provide a mechanism for undergraduates to engage in C–H Functionalization research and engage in research exchange experiences.
Vanessa Wall, an undergraduate student at Notre Dame, was the recipient of one of the 2013 CSURP fellowships and travelled to the University of Utah in the summer of 2013. Vanessa spent the summer working in the lab of Prof. Matthew Sigman, exploring the application of novel techniques to deduce reaction mechanisms.
During the program Vanessa had the opportunity to participate in Center virtual meeting, present her work to the full membership and engage in local REU activities.
