Andrew Schafer joined the Blakey group in 2014 and focused on the development of robust intermolecular enantioselective acceptor-only carbene C–H insertion reactions.
Using novel, bespoke iridium complexes this chemistry significantly expanded the scope of carbene for these insertion reactions.
In May 2016 Andrew joined Boulder Scientific Company as a Process Chemist.
