CCHF Education, Outreach, and Diversity Programs

The CCHF implements high quality initiatives to train the next generation of scientists in collaborative cutting edge research practices, and identify effective means to communicate complex concepts in an accessible fashion for both the general public and scientific communities.

Goals of our programming:

Education and Dissemination: We aim to 1) provide Center members with the opportunity to learn and apply new C–H Functionalization techniques through extensive collaborative engagement, 2) place their research in a broader context, 3) develop a virtual community for sharing knowledge and ideas, 4) reduce the barrier to participation through the creation and curation of a platform that distributes cutting-edge discoveries to a wide student audience and 3) to provide a venue for widely circulating Center research to the scientific community, industry, and public.

Engagement and Community: Our goals are to 1) increase the participation of underrepresented groups in chemistry research, 2) provide students and postdocs an immersive experience in a research environment that demonstrates the value of a diverse set of inputs from people of all backgrounds. 3) foster partnerships throughout the CCHF community, industrial affiliates, and external collaborators.
