Close to a dozen Atlanta area CCHF graduate students, faculty and staff coordinated another great showing at the Atlanta Science Festival on March 24th, 2018 in Piedmont Park. The CCHF booth theme for this year was “Chemistry with a Conscience”an emphasis on C-H sustainable chemistry practices. The Center brought a variety of hands-on creative demos to engage both children and adults.

Participants had a chance to learn about concepts like recycling, reusing catalysts, lowering waste production, and reducing the synthesis time of chemicals through C–H technologies.Science enthusiasts flocked to the CCHF booth to competewith each otherin the “Synthesis Maze”and the “Find the Catalyst” game. K-12 teacher were eager to obtain Center educational materials to teach their students applicable chemistry. One K-12 Math teacher, commented: "This game [Synthesis Maze] is an excellent resource to teach math integers with a real application in chemistry."
