Michael Gilbert was a graduate student in the Montgomery lab between 2013-2017.
Michaels work focused on collaborative studies with the Sherman and Houk groups using a combined substrate engineering and enzyme evolution technique, guided by theoretical modelling and understanding to develop bio-catalysts capable of selective C–H oxidation across a range of non-natural substrates.
In early 2018 Michael joined the Weix Group as a Postdoctoral Fellow.
