Damien Valette was a Postdoctoral fellow in the Davies group between 2011 and 2013.
During his work with the Center Damien explored the application of carbene C–H insertion for the construction of core molecular architectures for Natural Product total synthesis. In particular his work focused on controlling site-selectivity through catalyst design, allowing a streamlined entry in complex carbocyclic systems using sequential C–H functionalizations.
In early 2013 Damien secured a position with Pfizer at their Dublin site in Ireland.
